Youth festival about technology, the future and art. From podcast to catwalk.

Metropolis is the mother of all science fiction films. Central is the theme “the man and the machine.” The film sketches a vision of the future for 2026, one hundred years later.

Now, one hundred years later, numerous (arts) organisations and schools are challenging young people to think critically about the city of tomorrow and their role in it. How do they see the world and humanity evolving towards 2126, given the growing impact of technology? What are the opportunities, desires, challenges, and obstacles of the future?

That future will be imagined in a 10-day arts festival for and by young people, from 15 to 25 October 2026. The programme will feature podcasts, theatre, music, music theatre, workshops, debate, film, exhibition, catwalk, spoken word, and dance.
